Where do you get the chandeliers from? " These are all
made in India. We have been in this business since
1901. Four generations have passed
since this shop on MG Road was established in 1962
by my father Mr Jamal. We are retailers
and do not have any exports."
 His
celebrity customers…. " We used to have Amitabh Bachhan
and Dharmendra visiting our shop once
upon a time. Today, so many people walk in and I have no time
to look at them at all. My customers come from Coorg,
Ooty, Calicut and other places. Chandeliers here range
from Rs 1000-50,000."
Their customers service… "Our customers are next to God
for us and we do anything to appease them.
If a particular design is not with us, we take orders
and design the same for them."
The different varieties of chandeliers…. " We have wooden,
crystal, powder coated, metal coated, antique finish, gold coated,
bone-china coated chandeliers also. Antique finish
chandeliers are not genuine antique pieces,
just a replica of an antique piece.
These are certainly priced much higher than the
others, about 10 times more. The most expensive
piece here is a chandelier which costs Rs 35, 000!"
 Tips
on buying a chandelier… "A customer should keep in mind
the interiors of the house and also the budget
while buying a chandelier."
